I went to Drew some time ago...and everyone, including myself, loved George..He always wasRead More realistic, but had a funny spin or a funny story to share to make everyone anywhere laugh...and always made a person feel good. I want more of the George type of person around in the world as there does not seem to be many at all.

This make me very sad. Rebhorn was a true gentleman - the quiet and gentle sort of a person whoRead More understood what really matters in life. Jim communicated this sincere knowing through his honest, open conversations whether in passing on the running track, during community events, or when interviewed. He was a great actor and a wonderful person. He touched a lot of people - what a loss for all of us. I am sending Jim's family prayerful and caring thoughts.

Thank You for sharing. Your Mom loved sitting outside the store on a sunny day and I don't think aRead More child walked by that she didn't greet, smile at, etc. Tremendous loss for your family and so many more....Heck, a whole township will never be the same.

Chip was a GIANT in our beloved community. My condolences to his family. He will be sorely missed.
Leslie Pogany January 22, 2013 at 01:59 pm
Chip was a force who loved our two towns. Excellence and giving back tirelessly to our children.. ARead More man with a big heart who fought for a cause and his life. All he had to do was ask and I knew that whatever he needed he could get from us. Thank you Chip...RIP we were blessed to have known you.
Nancy Heins-Glaser January 27, 2013 at 01:39 pm
To all who knew Chip/and even those who did not but wished they might have/ we will all feel theRead More loss of this great man of convictions who put his time, intellectual capability and resources where his belief system was. He did not fear standing up for what is good and he was undeterred in his belief in the the inherrent rights of others. We do have some in our country willing to stand up for what he/she believe in, but far too few with Chip's determination and insistence that "equality and access for all" are included in the same conversation for the sake of others/not himself.

Thank you very much for your time and effort, Ms. Mann. And thank you, Dr. Lilly, for your heartfeltRead More words. Everything is very much appreciated. Mrs. Blumenfield truly was a "mentor." She challenged her students, but supported them unconditionally. Even as students attempted to grasp the most difficult of mathematical concepts, her perseverance never wavered. Always enthusiastic, her passion for math was contagious. Mrs. Blumenfield encouraged me to explore the many opportunities the CHS Math Department had to offer. Without her support, I imagine I would have been reluctant to partake in a number of rewarding experiences. On a more personal level, Mrs. Blumenfield was someone students could easily talk to. Occasionally I would drop in to say hello and catch up on things. Mrs. Blumenfield will certainly be "deeply missed," but she will always be remembered and her accomplishments will be celebrated. My thoughts and best wishes are with her family, friends, colleagues, and students. Ben Brown Columbia High School '10
