What are the circular decorations in front of the lawns in Maplewood homes? Red ones, blue ones, some have 3, some have 2, some have 1. What is it all about?

Part of the Maplewood July 4th: 10 a.m. CIRCLE FRAME Kids’ Participatory ART PROJECT downhill from RR station • “Amity, Unity, Infinity” by John Kaufman • All Ages • with story-theater by the Strollers • sponsors: Memorial Post 10120 VFW & 1978 Arts Center. Get your hoop at 1978 Arts Center, decorate it and bring it on the 4th (starting at 10 a.m.) for display within the "Infinity Loop." (See "Maplewood 4th of July" on Facebook).
