This is a child care facility open year-round (only closed six days/year) in a roomy, modern space with a large,More gated, outdoor play area (surrounded by tall hedges to insure privacy and noise control). Situated adjacent to a stream admidst beautiful landscaping, this is a great place to be a kid, attested to by the happy shouts, picnic tables, safe climbing apparatus and numerous playrooms and toys.

Long considered a leader in quality childcare for the region (open 10 years now), the 10,000 square foot, state-of-the-art West Parker Childcare Center offers full-day care for young children aged 6-weeks through pre-school, with flexible schedules available. All teachers are certified and experienced.

The Center has been chosen to participate in the Gulick Collaborative, which works with the Centers for Disease Control to promote healthy lives by providing more exercise and optimal food choices. The Center is open from 7 am to 7 pm and serves more than 220 children. One of its many highlights is that it offers a lower teacher-to-child ratio than required by the state (for infants and waddlers, the teacher-child ratio is 3:1).

Parents, who receive lesson plans weekly, are welcome to visit and participate. The Y practices respect for cultural diversity. Financial aid may be available. There's expansive parking and a trail next to the stream, in case mom (or dad) wants to take a walk!
