Maplewood Police report SUV taken Sunday afternoon on Boyden Ave.
Two men allegedly stole a car Sunday afternoon after the car's owner had pulled over to check for a flat tire, said Lt. Dean Naddeo of the Maplewood Police Department. The owner, a Maplewood resident, had stopped his Porsche Cayenne SUV on Boyden Avenue near Orchard Road at around 2 p.m. Sunday to check if his tire was flat, said Naddeo, who said the man got out of the car and left the keys in the ignition. While the man was out of the car, two men jumped in and drove off toward Irvington, said Naddeo. There was no force used and no weapons were shown, Naddeo said. Police are investigating the incident.

Any school that still has two emergency closing days available (that were not used because of inclement weather) as of May 23 will be closed Friday, May 24 and Tuesday, May 28, and any school that still has one emergency closing day available will be closed Friday, May 24 but open Tuesday, May 28. Schools with no emergency closing days available will be open on both May 24 and May 28. Still confused? …
