Gov. Chris Christie appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night to break down his decision to “let the people vote” in a special election for Frank Lautenberg’s senate seat. As The Roots laid down a smooth R&B beat, the governor mostly played the straight man to Fallon. Christie “slow jammed” his talking points about the special election and dodged questions about whether he’d announce a run for president. Joseph DiVincenzo will endorse the governor's re-election bid officially on Tuesday.
Essex County Executive Joseph DiVincenzo will appear at a special West Orange event Tuesday to announce his endorsement of Gov. Chris Christie, according to NJ.com. DiVincenzo will state his support for the governor's re-election effort at noon Tuesday at McCloone’s Boat House in West Orange, NJ.com is reporting via anonymous sources. Essex County Sheriff Armando Fontoura reportedly is also backing Republican Christie, as will a number of Democratic mayors and African-American ministers, NJ.com reported.

President Obama checked out a record-breaking sand castle, played a football boardwalk game and "high-fived" lots of kids during a short visit to Point Pleasant Beach early Tuesday afternoon before speaking in Asbury Park. Harry, Christie survey the damage and have some fun.
Britain's Prince Harry did what most people do on a sunny, spring day in Seaside Heights – take in the ocean views, then play some boardwalk games. Harry came to Seaside Heights with Gov. Chris Christie Tuesday morning after the two toured destruction caused by Superstorm Sandy in Mantoloking. The pair drove south on Route 35 and entered the boardwalk at Grant Avenue where crowds of people were waiting for their arrival. "Prince Harry, we love you," shouted one small girl who was holding a welcome sign. Standing next to her was an Elvis Presley impersonator, hoping to attract some attention of his own from the prince.
