Streets to Close Saturday for 'Open Market'
Music, food and shopping in the Village
September 12 will see streets closed and stores open for the second annual Maplewood Village Open Market. Sponsored by participating merchants and the Maplewood Village Alliance, the Saturday event is designed to “invite folks to shop, eat and hang out in the Village,” according to Hanh Truong, owner of Little One & Co., and one of the merchant-organizers. The day’s events start at 7 a.m., when complimentary classes at Core Mind and Body studio begin. Kids’ crafts, featuring Dr. Yo, the Spin Wizard, will be presented by Scrivener’s Toys starting at 11 a.m. A fashion show will follow, featuring the season’s best from Little One & Co., Village Belle, No.165 and Tic Tac Toes.
