Essex County Seniors Recognized for Artwork

Their artwork included paintings — in oil, watercolor and pastels — as well as photos and sculpture. With 112 pieces of artwork entered in the competition this year, Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo Jr. awarded 33 pieces of the best artwork by both professional and non-professional senior artists. Essex County’s senior citizens were honored recently for their artistic talents at an awards ceremony attended by DiVincenzo at the Essex County Hospital Center. “It’s so impressive to see what [our seniors] can achieve in such a short amount of time,” said DiVincenzo. “We have a lot to be proud of here in Essex County… Essex is the best county in New Jersey.
