The Tuscan Fair Goes On

Iffy weather doesn't dampen spirits.

It may not have been the perfect spring day weatherwise, but that didn't stop Tuscan School family and friends from enjoying a great day at the annual Tuscan Fair on Saturday, May 14. Fun included face painting, sand art, fortune telling and various games of skill and chance for a good cause — including an adults-only game of musical chairs won by Joe Strupp. The funds raised go to the Tuscan PTA. New this year was a classroom basket raffle. Each class donated items to their themed basket. Some of the themes included a Reader Lover's Basket with books and gift cards to Words, a Baking Basket with apron and kitchen utensils, and a Beach Basket with sand toys. Living Mindfully In Maplewood

This weekend, Maplewood's woman's club hosts the second annual Mindful Living Fair.

Sunday, March 22 marks the second annual Mindful Living Community Holistic Health and Wellness Fair. From noon to 4:00 p.m. the Woman’s Club of Maplewood will become a place for community members to connect with holistic health and wellness providers and learn about green living events and products. Jen Maidenberg, a West Orange resident and mother of three, is the founder and owner of Mindful Living NJ, the group that organized the event. Maidenberg was inspired to create the fair after suffering from various health issues for many years. “I had everything from allergies to digestive issues to food sensitivities.
