Regular service resumes for the most part -- with a few changes.
As promised, New Jersey Transit released its new, post-Sandy schedule on Sunday afternoon. Since Gladstone service is still suspended, NJT has added some stops to its Morris & Essex Line during rush hours. For example, the 7:30 a.m. from Maplewood to New York Penn Station now will stop at all stations between Dover and Summit before arriving in Maplewood, and also includes a stop at Newark Broad Street (although it is still scheduled to arrive at NYP at the same time, 8:04 a.m.) On the westbound trip home, the 5:15 p.m. and 5:41 p.m. from NYP to Maplewood also both include an additional stop in Newark. NJ Transit will resume limited service on the Midtown Direct line beginning Monday, November 12. Service has been suspended since Hurricane Sandy. Here is the information posted on NJ Transit's website late Sunday night: Morris & Essex Line: Effective Monday, November 12, service resumes on a modified schedule on the Morristown Line with Midtown Direct Service operating between Dover/Summit and New York. There is no Morristown Line service to/from Hoboken. Gladstone Branch Service remains suspended until further notice. For the schedule, click here. It is also attached as a PDF to this article.

The Hilton Jitney has been non existent for the last two weeks causing lots of folks to be late in the morning. Does anyone have any updates on why this jitney has not been showing up?   more ›
