The vigil at Fairview Cemetery began at first light Sunday morning. There were no mourners, just reporters and photographers mingling congenially as they staked out a good spot for their reports back to the network morning shows or a position for the perfect photo of the funeral procession bringing Whitney Houston to the cemetery for her burial. Hundreds gathered at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark early Sunday to mourn singer Whitney Houston, who began her public singing career as a member of the church's junior gospel choir at age 11. Many said they were also there to show their support for the Houston family, including her mother, Cissy, who is an active member of the congregation. "I heard her sing in this church, many times.
