Old Police Station: Nothing Till June

Despite the mostly harmonious nature of the March 3 Town Council Meeting, there was some discord over one issue: the future of the old police station. The disagreement was mild, but arguably telling. The question was whether the Committee would have the consulting firm Metro study the property to see if the building needed to be rehabilitated.   The study, described as exploratory in nature, would cost the township between $4,000 and $5,500. Also, it would start a slow series of governmental procedures—mostly back and forth recommendations between the Planning Committee and the Township Committee—slated to end in June.
