Donations will help schools rebuild libraries destroyed in the hurricane.
Claire Sinclair updates Patch readers via email on the book drive: Tuscan collected over 3,500 books. Seth Boyden dropped off many boxes and bags as well...I'd estimate at least 500. Lois and Andrea of Bookbgone came by and picked up the books and brought them to their facility in Union. There were so many volunteers, but the stand out ones...are, Juli and Phil Lipoff, Dave Sinclair, Chris Costanza and Melissa Sheehy. A celebration of the quick-thinking actions of Kylie Keegan was held Friday at Tuscan School.
Tuscan Kindergarten student Kylie Keegan from Franklin Avenue was the first to see flames shooting through the roof of a home on Hilton Avenue while watching TV on Sunday night. Kylie went to her parents and insisted they call 911 to report the fire.
