Mary Mann, I still believe the post office should remain as is. The post office as served us for all these years. New technology should not push out the mail. The location in town is very convenient. Attacks on the Woman's Club and the Post Office make me sorry I moved here.

Elisabeth, my understanding is that the Town will work with the U.S. Postal Service to find another, more remote site in town for mail sorting and that a retail postal presence will remain in Maplewood Village. The retail post office on Springfield Avenue will be unaffected. Also, the post office's current lease in the Village does not expire until 2013.
