ReplyChildren can experience more music this summer at the affordable and local Community Summer Program, June 29-July 24, at South Orange Middle School.
Music lessons are offered for $150 for four weeks. These are one-hour group lessons that cost less than $8 a lesson.
Percussion, guitar, and string lessons are offered from 8:45-9:45 a.m. for children entering Grades 4-9.
Keyboard is offered for Grades 3-9 from 9:50-10:50 a.m. and 12:35 p.m.-1:35 p.m.
Woodwinds and brass is offered at 10:55-11:55 a.m. for Grades 4-9.
A full-day Musical Theater Camp teachers all aspects of musical theater production. Classes are devoted to singing, dancing, acting and technical aspects of theater. This two-week costs $425, about $7 an hour.
Many more classes in the performing and creative arts are offered at the Community Summer Program. Classes are appropriate to different grade levels for children entering Grades 1-12.
