Mr. Meyer - I am researching the Big Duck on Long Island and recently found a 1993 NYTimes letter (see attached) to the editor by a Philip Meyer from Wilton Ct, setting the record straight about the first owner of the Big Duck. I am wondering if you are the same Philip Meyer and if so I would like to communicate with you about your recollections of the Duck. I will be curating an exhibit on the Long Island duck industry which we plan to display in a barn that will be restored next to the Big Duck, and I would like any reference to the Duck to be as accurate as possible. Thank you

Dear Mr. Meyer,
Jeff Ward recently wrote an Opinion article titled "We still have cheerleaders". There are many that are insulted by this and have left comments in regards to such. His last comment in response to a reader suggesting he apologize to the cheerleaders was "Cheerleading is an anachronism that needs to fade away!" and that he won't back down. I find it disturbing that in the area that we live that this would be acceptable. Cheerleaders of any age do not deserve to be put down and belittled the way that Mr. Ward has written. I do suggest that something be done regarding this article of his and a formal apology should be made by Mr. Ward. It is okay to state your opinion but an overall article such as his does not just state his opinion but actually is quite disrespectable and unacceptable to all those that choose the extra curricular activity no matter what their sex may be. Please address this matter swiftly as I look forward to a response soon. Thanking you in advance for your cooperation and understanding in this matter.
Sincerely,
Ms. Trilla

Dear Mr Meyer:
I am continually exhausted and disappointed to, day after day, see the continued evisercation of our local community member, Joey Weber, in the Buffalo Grove Patch article "Football Coach Concerned About Bullying." Please take a look at it...you guys are better than this!

Hey Phil, why does Mike Hayes keep deleting my comments? Isn't that an infringement of my constitutional rights? Or is it racial? Sounds like the basis for legal action to me.
