There are much more interactive play equipment on the market--naturalistic climbing boulders, spiders nests (climbing), mini zip lines that require some climbing, safe agility course--as well as traditional--and more naturalistic slides and swings. We recently visited a playground in Ithaca, NY that incorporated dinosaur/archeology sand digs-- with a great educational message. Maplewood is a great town--we should be as innovative, and cutting-edge as the diversity of it's people.
