<b>Tony Avila - American Jiu Jitsu Self Defense</b>

Tony Avila has been training in American Jiu Jitsu since his days as a student at MIT. He currently holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt (Yodan) and has sharing with students of all ages (children to the elderly) for over 17 years.

After years of training and teaching at MIT&#39;s American Jiu Jitsu club, Tony moved to Manhattan to pursue his career and assist in opening New York Jiu Jitsu; Manhattan&#39;s premiere Martial Arts studio and the home of American Jiu Jitsu in Manhattan. He taught a complete range of classes at New York Jiu Jitsu for over 10 years.<br>In 2011, Tony brought his knowledge of practical self defense to Maplewood Karate Martial Arts Academy, where he runs American Jiu Jitsu of Maplewood.

Tony&#39;s passion is to share his knowledge with his community. While offering self defense classes multiple times per week, he also offers <strong>FREE</strong> seminars to benefit Maplewood and the surrounding communities, including <strong>Women&#39;s Self Defense Seminars</strong> as well as training <strong>Dept. of Homeland Security Field Agents.</strong>   

When he&#39;s not home with his family, you can find Tony sharing his knowledge with American Jiu Jitsu students at Maplewood Karate Martial Arts Academy.
